Vic; Pedestrian dies near Colac
A pedestrian was killed in an accident on the Princes Highway, south of Geelong, shortly
before midnight last night, police said today.
The death is the first for the Easter road toll period for Victoria and brings the
national toll to two.
Police say details are sketchy, but the victim was struck by a car at Waurn Ponds at
11.55pm (AEST) last night and killed.
The fatality takes Victoria's road toll to 119 for the year, one more than at the same
time last year.
