A new tune created from lyrics Buddy Holly scribbled in a notebook is being performed nearly 41 years after the rock and roll legend's death in a plane crash.
Milwaukee drummer Victor DeLorenzo, formerly with the Violent Femmes, said he first saw the notebook page in 1996 while visiting in New York with record executive Howard Thompson, who had bought the page at auction.
